Overview - BMS Tourism and Hospitality
BMS Tourism and Hospitality offered at Center for Distance Education and Virtual Learning provides an opportunity for students and individuals to take advantage of the impetus given by the GoI, encouraging the tourism and hospitality industry and helping students to garner a better understanding and knowledge of the nuances of tourism and hospitality management. The Program develops the skill set that would empower students to become professionals in tourism and hospitality management. The program enables vast learning in diverse aspects of tourism products, services, allied services, hotel industry, and functional areas of management such as Marketing, HR, and Finance that are relevant to the Tourism and Hospitality industry and management.
The objective of the program is to enable the student to develop their career to their fullest potential, at an accelerated pace in pursuit of an aspirational area of expertise. The growth and employment prospects of the sector speel the relevance and importance of the program of Bachelor of Management Studies – Tourism and Hospitality management.

Job Prospects
Activities Director
Work for hotels and resorts, travel companies and cruise liners to oversee guest activities and ensure guests have a good experience. This may include planning guests' itineraries, giving guests tours of the local area and developing fun activities guests can do within their facilities.
Travel Consultant
Work for a firm or start your own business, this career requires a base of experience in order to advise your clients. Whether in hotels, restaurants or travel, becoming an expert in your trade will allow you to give the soundest guidance.
Resort Manager
Oversee all operations departments from the front desk and security to housekeeping and food and beverage. Responsible for the overall success of the facility, this is a very diverse position that manages a wide variety of people. A strong leader, that is both service oriented and business savvy, will exceed in this management role.
Tour Manager
Schedule work shifts for tour guides, develop marketing strategies to increase tour bookings and read tourist reviews to determine how they can make their experience better.
Hotel Sales Coordinator
Work with a team of sales coordinators and hotel management to develop strategies to increase bookings and repeat customers.
Tour Operator
The candidates can become Entrepreneurs by setting up their own organization business providing all tourism-related services which may encompass regional, national, and international tour operations.

Admissions
- The minimum qualification required to apply is a pass in the 10+2 examination in Science or Commerce from PUC / ISC / CBSE or an equivalent board. A course recognized as equivalent thereto by the University.
- 10th standard marks card.
- 12th standard marks card/Diploma marks card along with completion certificate. ITI all semester marks card and ITI certificate.
- Passport size photo (Selfies not allowed) , photo should be in jpg format less than 50kb.
- Aadhar Card - Page 1 & 2 (showing DD/MM/YYYY) and if only year mentioned in Aadhar then needs to be updated and submitted.
- Application form duly filled in all respects
- Registered Affidavit - in case of name change/DOB change.
- ABC ID is mandatory.
